Über den Spieler
Zwei Tage vor dem Finale der Copa de la Liga Profesional gegen Colón, im Juni 2021, fiel bei Julián Alejo López ein COVID-19-Test positiv aus.
Bei Racing hatte Eduardo Coudet ihn 2018 debütieren lassen, doch in der Saison 2021 blieb es bei fünf Einsätzen in der Liga Profesional. Der Wechsel, der ihn 2022 zu Ferro Carril Oeste brachte, entstand aus einem Streit: Racing lehnte eine Entschädigungsklausel für nicht absolvierte Spiele ab — López ging zu Ferro, auf gewöhnlicher Leihbasis ohne Kaufoption. In Caseros kam er auf zwölf Partien und fünf Vorlagen.
2023 wurde daraus eine ganze Saison — 38 Pflichtspiele, kein eigenes Tor, dafür der Titel im Torneo Clausura.
Am 1. Januar 2024 wechselte er endgültig von Racing zu Defensa y Justicia. Minute zum 2:1 — es blieb der entscheidende Treffer.
2025 verbrachte er auf Leihbasis bei Tigre: 29 Ligaspiele, ein Tor, dazu drei Partien in der Copa Argentina. Zurück bei Defensa y Justicia trägt er die 55 und steht bislang bei sieben Einsätzen.
