Der Stadio Mario Rigamonti steht in einem Stadtteil, der von der U-Bahn-Anbindung profitiert. Der Name am Tor erinnert an Mario Rigamonti, der sein Leben als Abwehrspieler der Grande Torino in Superga beendete. Seit der Eröffnung im Jahr 1959 trägt das Bauwerk diesen Namen, ohne jemals einen kommerziellen Sponsortitel anzunehmen.

Was die Tribünen prägt, sind nicht nur die baulichen Veränderungen, sondern die Werbung, die sie säumte. Auf den alten Fotos ist zu sehen, wie Ringe und Wappen der Heimatregion über den Zuschauern hängen. Die Fans saßen damals noch im Stehen, bis die Sicherheitsvorschriften in den 2010er Jahren die terrassenartige Struktur in eine Reihe von Einzelplätzen verwandelten.

Die Kapazität schwankte zwischen 16.000 und 23.000 Zuschauern, je nachdem, ob man die Stehplätze berücksichtigte oder nicht. Der höchste Wert von 23.072 wurde am 27. Juli 2002 erreicht, als Brescia Calcio gegen Paris Saint-Germain in der UEFA Intertoto Cup finale antrat.
