Zweimal wählte Gillingham ein Tor von Josh Andrews zum Tor des Monats: im November 2024 und im September 2025. 55 Ligaspiele, 5 Tore.
Andrews kam 2009 in die Nachwuchsabteilung von Birmingham City, zuvor hatte er bei den Wychall Wanderers gespielt. Bis 2020 blieb er in Birmingham. In der Saison 2020/21 gewann er mit der U23 die Professional Development League.
Im Februar 2021 ging er zu Harrogate Town und bestritt 3 Spiele in der League Two. Von August 2021 bis Januar 2022 spielte er für Rochdale: 22 Einsätze in Liga, FA Cup, Ligapokal und EFL Trophy, dabei 5 Tore. Bei Doncaster Rovers, von Juli 2022 bis Januar 2023, blieb er in 5 Einsätzen ohne Treffer. Am besten lief es bei Accrington Stanley. Dort kam er ab Juli 2023 auf 22 Einsätze und 6 Tore, ehe ihn Birmingham im Januar 2024 zurückholte.
Nur wenige Tage später, am 1. Februar 2024, wechselte er fest zu Gillingham. Der Vertrag lief bis Juni 2026, die Ablösesumme wurde nicht genannt. Nach Ablauf der Saison 2025/26 trennte sich der Verein von ihm. Am 1. Juli 2026 unterschrieb Andrews bei Grimsby Town einen Zweijahresvertrag, ablösefrei.
