Sporthal Alverberg

It sits at Herkenrodesingel 33 and has always been owned by the municipality of Hasselt.

It hosted the Davis Cup tie between Belgium and Uzbekistan in 2023 and later the qualifier against Chile in 2025.

Before the tennis, the hall was known for handball. It hosted the BENE-League Final Four tournaments in the 2014–15 and 2016–17 seasons. The OCI-LIONS won one of these finals, while Achilles Bocholt claimed the title in the other. These events established the hall as a regional center for indoor sports.

Today, the capacity of the venue is 1,730 seats. This figure is consistent across various sources, though one report rounds it to 1,700. The hall does not have a dedicated website; information is found on the city's domain, hasselt.be, or its sports platform, sporthasselt.be. This lack of a standalone site is unremarkable.

The tenants include Limburg United in the BNXT League and Initia HC Hasselt in handball. Unlike tenant teams, the arena itself has never carried a sponsor's name. It is simply the Sporthal Alverberg, or Stedelijke Sporthal Alverberg. It is not used for concerts, and no specific heating system is documented.
