In Araraquara heißt der Fußball seit jeher Ferroviária, und ihre Arena trägt einen Namen, der leuchtet, bevor man das Spielfeld überhaupt sieht: Fonte Luminosa . Offiziell heißt das Stadion Estádio Doutor Adhemar de Barros.

Errichtet wurde die Anlage auf Betreiben von Antônio Tavares Pereira Lima, dem Gründer des Klubs – ein Umstand, der die Bindung zwischen Verein und Arena von Beginn an geprägt hat. Am 10. Juni 1951 wurde die Fonte Luminosa eröffnet, und gleich das Eröffnungsspiel hatte Format: Ferroviária empfing Vasco da Gama zu Gast in der noch jungen Arena.

Plätze auf Naturrasen bieten Raum für ein Publikum, das in einer Stadt dieser Größe seinen Klub ohne Konkurrenz für sich beanspruchen kann.
