Der Platz gehört zu den ältesten seiner Art auf den Färöer-Inseln ; die ersten Arbeiten begannen im Jahr 1924, ein Datum, das durch verschiedene Berichte bestätigt wird.

Der Boden selbst ist mit Kunstrasen bedeckt, der heute den Standard für internationale Spiele erfüllt. Die Kapazität des Geländes wird unterschiedlich bewertet; einige Quellen nennen 1.500 Plätze, andere gehen von 3.000 Besuchern aus. Der genaue Wert bleibt unklar.

Das Stadion trägt keinen geschäftlichen Namen und ist nur unter seinem geografischen Titel bekannt. Es war Schauplatz für Spiele der Løgmanssteypið und der Løgmanssteypið U16, sowie für Begegnungen der Island Games im Jahr 1989. FC Suðuroy nutzt die Anlage seit der Fusion der Vereine VB Vágur und Sumba im Jahr 2010. Der erste Sieg unter diesem neuen Namen wurde hier gegen B68 Toftir errungen.
