Die Halle steht in Freiburg, im Kanton Freiburg, an der Chemin Saint-Léonard 5. Sie wurde 1983 als Patinoire Saint-Léonard eröffnet und trug später den Namen Hallenstadion Saint-Léonard, bevor der heutige Name durch das Sponsoring der Banque Cantonale Fribourgeoise entstand. Der Umbau von 2018 bis 2020 formte das Innere neu und erhöhte die Kapazität auf 9262 Plätze. Die Stadt Freiburg besitzt die Anlage, der HC Fribourg-Gottéron nutzt sie als Heimspielstätte der National League.
