Tom Thibodeau visits Rockets training camp
A year removed from coaching the Knicks, Tom Thibodeau dropped by Houston's camp to see former colleague Ed Pinkney, says coach Ime Udoka.
Tom Thibodeau has spent a year away from coaching, and he has used part of it to check in on old friends. The Knicks parted ways with him during the 2025 off-season. Now he has turned up in Houston, sitting in on a Rockets training camp.
Thibodeau worked for the organisation between 2003 and 2007 under Jeff Van Gundy. His reason for the Houston visit this time was Ed Pinkney, a Rockets scout he worked alongside in Minnesota.
Ime Udoka, the Rockets' head coach, explained the visit.
