Estádio José Gomes
The ground in Venteira belongs to nobody who plays on it. Since the old Clube de Futebol Estrela da Amadora went under, the title has sat with the insolvency administrator, held on behalf of the club's insolvent estate, and the football club that fills the terraces is a tenant. That arrangement is not a technicality in Amadora.
The stadium went on the market in 2019, put up to help settle debts of more than 36 million euros left behind by the former club. The current SAD tried to buy it back at auction for 5.1 million euros. The lease ran out in June 2022. Deputies raised the idea that the municipality should use its right of pre-emption and take the ground into public hands; the council did not become the owner.
The name is not a footballer's. José Gomes was the architect who drew the ground in 1934. Locally it is still called Эштадиу да Реболеира, after the freguesia that once covered this part of Amadora before Venteira absorbed it.
The pitch is natural grass. The club began replacing it in August 2020.
