Hamkam made a statement in the first round of the NM Cup, beating Trisil 5-0 at their home ground on Saturday. The visitors took control early and never looked back. Five goals in ninety minutes left the hosts with nothing to show for their efforts.
The twenty-eighth minute changed everything. B. Isufi opened the scoring, and three minutes later H. Opsahl doubled the lead. Hamkam were playing with freedom, and Trisil could not find a way through. By then, the match was already decided.
M. Gjone added a third before the break, slotting home in the forty-fifth minute with one minute of added time. Trisil had no corners and no shots on target. To be fair, they had no shots at all.
N. Alexandersson made it four in the seventieth minute, and W. Osnes-Ringen completed the rout in the eighty-seventh. The visitors deserved every goal they scored. Trisil never got out of second gear, but they never got into first either.
The statistics tell the same story. Both sides registered zero corners, zero red cards, zero yellow cards. Hamkam did not need possession to dominate. Five goals from nothing.
Hamkam's recent form suggested they could score, but this was different. They had lost to Brann 3-0 just a week earlier and still showed up. By then, Trisil knew they were out of the competition.
