FK Žalgiris namų stadionas

German prisoners of war built this ground in the Liepkalnis area after the Second World War, to a design by the architect Viktor Anikin. It opened as Lokomotyvas Stadium , and the railway name stuck for the length of the Soviet era — the Vilnius station is close by.

The pitch has changed hands more often than most. In 2004 the ground was rebuilt for FK Vėtra and renamed after the club. That arrangement lasted until Vėtra went bankrupt in 2010, at which point the Lithuanian Football Federation bought the site for 2.2 million litas and gave it the federation's own name. Renovations followed in 2011 and 2012 to bring the ground up to UEFA Category 3: the grass came out, a FIFA QualityPro artificial surface went in, and the capacity was raised. That turf has since been relaid three times, most recently in 2023.

FK Žalgiris moved in during 2011, after their own Žalgiris Stadium was demolished, and the national team played here from 2012 to 2022.

The American football side Iron Wolves also use it, and the Lithuanian Song Festival brings its Dancing Day here. In December 2024 the stadium was sold for €3.5 million to UAB "Vexo projektai", a company tied to FK Žalgiris shareholders, with further work planned for 2026.
