Evening Draw Keeps Points Gap Tight
Příbram and Prostějov shared four points in the Czech First League on Saturday afternoon. The 2–2 result came after two goals in the final two minutes gave the home side a late leveller.
S. Jalovicor opened the scoring in the thirty-second minute before Prostějov pulled one back through P. Nghabo in the seventy-seventh. L. Fila then equalised in the ninetieth, and E. Okeke struck again in stoppage time to complete the comeback.Both managers made changes on the hour mark. Prostějov brought on D. Vott, A. Imrana and J. Koudelka in the seventy-fourth minute, while Příbram responded with P. Volesky and M. Halda in the eighty-fourth. M. Krulich came off for Prostějov in the ninety-first minute.
There were five yellow cards in total. D. Rousar and M. Melichar received cautions in the first half, followed by A. Imrana, M. Krulich and J. Matousek after the break. T. Svoboda was booked in the eighty-seventh minute.
Prostějov edged the attack count 62 to 61 and enjoyed slightly more possession at 48 percent, but Příbram created more from set pieces with ten corners against six. Shots on target favoured the visitors 7–5, yet both sides registered similar numbers of off-target attempts.
The draw leaves Příbram on seven points from four matches, one behind the leaders. Prostějov move up to fourth with six points after their heavy 7–0 victory over Kuržim on Friday remains their only win so far.
