Bloomfield Stadium
Bloomfield Stadium has been shared by Hapoel Tel Aviv and Maccabi Tel Aviv since the 1960s, with Maccabi leaving for Ramat Gan in 1985 and returning in 2000.
The stadium carries the name of the Bloomfield brothers, the Canadian benefactors who paid for it, and there was never a sponsor's name stapled on top — an auction for naming rights was floated in 2021 and 2022, but nothing came of it. The rebuild between 2016 and 2019 saw the budget climb from 350 million to 500 million shekels as the old bowl, which held somewhere between 14,000 and 18,000, was replaced with a modern 29,400-seat structure and ten VIP boxes, handed over to the Mansfeld–Kehat practice.
European nights have left their own mark here. Hapoel's 3-0 win over Benfica in the 2010 Champions League remains a local memory, and the pitch — a hybrid of natural grass and synthetic fibre laid by LigaTurf — has hosted concerts by Barbra Streisand and Iron Maiden. The ground has also filled close to capacity for the national team, with 29,200 through the gates for Israel against Albania in 2022.
