Guillaume Trani

Guillaume Trani's career took the long way round. Marseille-born, he came up through local sides USPEG, Les Caillols and Gignac before joining Olympique de Marseille's youth ranks, and later spent time at England's Nike Academy after trials at Metz, Reims and Sedan failed to produce a professional contract.

A free move to Luxembourg followed, first to US Hostert, where he scored 16 goals in 49 appearances, then in 2022 to FC Differdange 03. In the 2024–25 double-winning season he scored the equaliser in the final minutes of the cup final and then converted the winning penalty in the shootout. He was named the BGL Ligue's Player of the Year for that season with 75% of the vote, having finished third in the equivalent award the year before, and was also included in Differdange's team of the season.

That run of form earned him a move back to France in July 2025, when he signed a two-year contract with Red Star FC 93. Since arriving he has made 15 league appearances for the club, scoring once. Trani has not been capped by France at any level, senior or youth.
