About the player
Kilian Jusseron-Venier's path to FC Annecy ran through Andrézieux-Bouthéon, and it ended in fitting fashion: his U19 side beat Annecy on penalties in a promotion play-off, and within months he was on his way to the club that had just lost that tie. Left-footed and 185cm tall, he had joined Andrézieux from the AS Saint-Étienne academy, where he had played for the U17s, and at his new club he scored nine goals in eleven appearances for the U19 team across the National U19 Championship.
That return persuaded Annecy to move for him in December 2024, and Jusseron-Venier signed a contract running until 2028. He officially joined the first-team squad in January 2025. His senior debut season was brief: four league appearances and one in the Coupe de France, five matches in total and 57 minutes on the pitch, without a goal or an assist to his name.
Those minutes came in fragments rather than a settled run in the side. It was that form, sealed by the play-off win over his future club, that made the move to Annecy happen.
