About the player
Nicolas Penner grew up in the youth system at SK Čtyři Dvory before moving on to SK Dynamo České Budějovice. From there Sparta Praha picked him up, and in 2017 Juventus took him into their youth academy, where he stayed until 2020. The move back to Dynamo České Budějovice in August 2021 followed his release from Juventus and came after a year sidelined by a chronic knee injury.
Penner made his professional debut in April 2022 and went on to make 19 league appearances for Dynamo in the 2022/23 season, scoring once. That form took him to FC Slovan Liberec in July 2023 on a three-year contract; over the following season he added 13 league appearances and a goal against Sigma Olomouc in February 2024.
In September 2024 he moved on to FK Mladá Boleslav. Back at Mladá Boleslav, he had made 13 league appearances and scored once in the 2024/25 season.
At youth level, Penner was capped 33 times for the Czech Republic between 2016 and 2019 across the U16, U17, U18 and U19 sides, scoring three goals, but he has yet to add a senior cap to that record.
