Yannick Eduardo

Yannick Eduardo plays as a forward and holds both Czech and Dutch nationality, a duality that shaped his early international career: he represented the Netherlands at U17 and U18 level before switching allegiance to the Czech Republic, for whose U21 side he has since scored twice in five appearances.

Born in Kadaň, he started out at Theole before moving into NEC Nijmegen's academy and then joining RB Leipzig, where he signed his first professional contract in January 2024. Rather than pushing for minutes in Leipzig's first team, he went out on a run of loans that took him through Dutch football: De Graafschap, then FC Emmen, then FC Dordrecht. It was at Dordrecht that the move paid off — he scored 12 goals in 22 appearances and finished as a top scorer in the Eerste Divisie, form that persuaded the club to trigger its purchase option on him in February 2026.

That spell also caught Hoffenheim's attention. The German club signed him from Dordrecht for a reported fee of around €2 million, and he made one appearance for the first team before settling into Hoffenheim II, where he played 11 matches in the 3. Liga, scoring once and setting up two more. In July 2026 he moved out on loan again, this time to ADO Den Haag for the 2026–27 season, and has already scored in the Eredivisie for his new side.

His production so far — goals and assists spread across loan spells rather than concentrated at one club — points to a player still finding a settled role rather than one yet defined by a single characteristic.
