Agigea

Viorel Manea once turned out for Agigea and, at various points, for its neighbour and rival Portul Constanța; his son Ionuț now plays for the club.

It did so quickly. The 2023–24 season brought the county phase of the Cupa României, and the following year the club retained the Liga IV Constanța championship, then beat Victoria Gugești, champions of neighbouring Vrancea, in the promotion play-off to reach Liga III for 2025–26. The step up showed almost immediately: a 1-0 win over Gloria Băneasa in the play-out phase sat alongside a heavier lesson, a 0-3 defeat to FCSB II in the play-off, as Agigea settled for sixth place in Seria 3 with 28 points from seven wins and thirteen defeats.

Home matches are played at a ground that seats around a hundred. Games against Portul Constanța are treated locally as the derby of the Seriei Est group.

The name most associated with Agigea beyond the county, though, belongs to someone who never wore the club's shirt in competition: Cristian Manea, born in the commune in 1997, moved on through Metalul Constanța and Farul before the Hagi Academy and Viitorul Constanța shaped him into a Romania international. His brother stayed.
