Alvechurch

Alvechurch Juniors began in 1929, playing in the Redditch League until the Second World War. Money finished the club a second time in 1993; it came back a year later as Alvechurch Villa and only took the old name back in 1996.

Nothing in the club's history matches the 1971–72 FA Cup tie against Oxford City. Five replays were needed to separate the sides — 2-2, 1-1, 1-1, 0-0, 0-0 — before Alvechurch finally won 1-0 at Villa Park, seventeen days after the first whistle. Two seasons later they reached the First Round Proper for the first time, beating Exeter City and King's Lynn before Bradford City ended the run in the Third Round, in a match played on a Sunday for the first time in FA Cup history.

Lye Meadow has held the club since 1957, bought for £1,000 to replace the old grounds at The Meadows and The Gaunts.

Geoff Horsfield came through here before a Premier League career, and in 2022–23 Alvechurch knocked League One's Cheltenham Town out of the FA Cup, 2-1.
