Beaconsfield Town

Sam Togwell went from wearing the shirt at Beaconsfield Town to running the club from the touchline. Around him the story stretches back to 1921, when Beaconsfield United took shape; the club that plays now is the product of a 1994 merger with Slough Youth Centre Old Boys, which produced Beaconsfield SYCOB, and only in the summer of 2017 did the name change again, to Beaconsfield Town.

Josh Payne came through here before going on to play for West Ham United, the kind of departure a non-league club notices and remembers. Further back, Allan Arthur remains the leading scorer from the club's earlier incarnation, a record that predates the rebrand entirely.

The Southern League East Division was won in 2017–18. Before that, the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division had already been claimed three times, in 2000–01, 2003–04 and 2007–08, with the league's Challenge Trophy added in 2001–02.

Holloways Park holds 3,500, and it is there that the South Bucks Derby against Chesham United and the Bucks Derby against Aylesbury United bring the sharpest edge to a home fixture. The Rams, in red, white and black, sit in the non-league pyramid.
