Bihorul Beiuş

The old one, known by then as Bihorul, had been liquidated after the 1989–90 season, and it took until 1 July 1996 for it to be registered again, as CF Bihorul Beiuș.

It was not the first time the name had changed. The club had started life in 1921 as Aurora Beiuș, passed through Tricolorul and Gloria, and only later settled on Bihorul.

Since then it has stayed almost entirely within Bihor County's own competitions. Four county-level Liga IV titles span half a century apart — 1974–75, 1977–78, 1984–85 and 2024–25 — with a Liga V title in 2012–13 and the county round of the Cupa României won in 2023–24, after finishing runner-up there in 2016–17. A third-place finish in Liga III, in 2011–12, is as far as the club has gone up the pyramid. For a time it was run by Adrian Anca.

Its rivalry belongs to geography rather than the table: CSO Ștei , the club from the next town over in the Beiuș Depression, some twenty to thirty kilometres away. Local reporters sometimes stretch the label "Derby Bihorean" to cover any meeting between the county's Liga III sides, including against Crișul Sântandrei.
