Chernomorets 1919 Burgas

The Lazur opened on 6 September 1967, and at 18,037 seats it is a three-star venue by UEFA's classification. The current Chernomorets took it on lease for the 2023–24 season.

That club is younger than its badge suggests. It was constituted on 4 August 2015, but the Bulgarian Football Union recognises it as the direct successor to the Chernomorets founded on 1 August 1919. The line running back to that date is not a straight one: the side played as Chernomorets-29 between 1929 and 1931, as Lyuboslav from 1944 to 1958, and as Botev from 1958 to 1968.

The Third League title in 2024–25 is the first thing the present side has won.

Zlatko Yankov played for that pre-2006 club and later returned to Burgas as sporting director, which is a rarer sort of continuity than a name on a registration document. Stoyko Sakaliev managed something similar in playing terms — he turned out for the original side and again for the revived one.
