Farnborough

None of that belongs to one continuous club. Farnborough Town, formed in 1967, reached the Football Conference in 1989 and went as far as the FA Cup fourth round in 2002–03 before Arsenal put five past them at Highbury. Manager Graham Westley left soon after for Stevenage Borough, taking several players with him, and the club that had built that run went into administration and was expelled from the Conference. What plays today, Farnborough FC, was formed in 2007 in the aftermath, starting again in the Southern League Division One South & West and winning that division at the first attempt in 2007–08.

The rivalry that matters locally predates the phoenix club and survived it anyway. Woking make up the other fixture supporters mark on the calendar.

They play in yellow shirts with navy shorts, which is where the nickname Boro sits alongside the older tag, the Yellows. Home games are at the Saunders Transport Community Stadium, still known locally as Cherrywood Road, in front of a ground that holds 6,500 in Farnborough, Hampshire.
