Huy

Two dissident splits shaped the club that plays today. Huy Football Club re-formed on 1 August 1908 after an earlier side founded in 1896 broke up, and the royal title arrived in 1930, turning it into Royale Union Hutoise. The name did not stay still after that: a 1995 merger with Huy Sports produced Royal Football Club Huy, and in 2002 a group of dissidents from that club broke away to found Solières Sport. In 2023 the two sides came back together, reviving the name Royale Union Hutoise and keeping the old matricule 76 that had run through every version of the club since 1908.

The badge has carried yellow and red through most of that history, though for a stretch between 1917 and 1926 the shirts were black and yellow, giving the club its old nickname, Les Jaunes et Noirs. Honours have come in the lower tiers: three Belgian Division 3 titles, in 1932, 1936 and 1949, and three Promotion titles between 1965 and 1988.

Stockay-Warfusée still provides the local derby, and RES Wanze-Bas-Oha sits among the nearby rivals, but the sharper edge for years ran through Solières Sport, the club's own breakaway now folded back into it. Home games are played at the Château Vert, a ground that holds 1,000 people where a club under one name or another has been playing since before the First World War.
