Urban Titu

Titu is a small town in Dâmbovița County, closer in scale to a commune than a city, and its football club has spent most of two decades tied to the town hall rather than to any private backer. What is now ACS Urban Titu started out as CS Electrosid Titu, took its present form after the municipality took over the club in 2011, and folded in 2017 when match-fixing allegations tied to the betting mafia dragged it under. It came back in 2023, so home matches were held at Hagioaica instead.

The 2023–24 season justified the reorganisation. Under coach Marian Vătavu and president Costin Mirescu, Urban Titu won the Liga IV Dâmbovița title with 23 wins from 28 matches and 120 goals scored, then added the county stage of Cupa României with a 3–0 win over Recolta Gura Șuții for a domestic double. Promotion followed in the play-off against Metropolitan Ișalnița, settled 6–0 on aggregate.

None of that has dented the old local order. The derby with Chindia Târgoviște, played under the name "Derby de Dâmbovița", still carries more weight in the county than anything Urban Titu has won on its own, and Flacăra Moreni remains the other fixture supporters mark on the calendar regardless of league form.

The rebuilt stadium seats 1,100, well below the 3,500 the old Stadionul Central once held before it fell out of use.
