Wisła Kraków U19

Paweł Brożek was still playing for the Juniorzy Starsi when Wisła Kraków's under-19s won the Polish junior championship in 2000. He went on to the Poland national side.

The team plays as a unit of the Wisła academy, itself an extension of a club founded in 1906. Its home matches are not played in Kraków: they are held at Stadion KS Dalin in Myślenice, on ul. Zdrojowa in the Zarabie district, some way south of the city. The ground belongs to Wisła's training base, which is the reason a Kraków age group ends up with a fixture list in a spa town of a few thousand people. Players who come through here spend their weeks on the same pitches they play on.

The side competes in the Central Youth League, the national under-19 competition.

Patryk Warczak made 40 appearances in that league for Wisła before moving to Górnik Zabrze, which is roughly the route the academy is built to produce — a full season or two at under-19 level, then a transfer out. Konrad Gruszkowski went the other way and turned up in the senior squad in 2020/21.

What the group has not managed is a repeat.
