Ammochostos Epistrofi Stadium
Larnaca, Cyprus
Formerly: Vitex Ammochostos Epistrofi Stadium, N-Papas Group Ammochostos Epistrofi Stadium
This is the home of Nea Salamis Famagusta, a club that plays in Larnaca while waiting for the chance to return to Famagusta. The name of the stadium, Ammochostos Epistrofi, translates to "Return," a sentiment that sits heavy on the concrete and steel. It was built by the supporters of the club, funded by donations and labour, and opened in the early nineties.
The playing surface is natural grass, maintained to a bright green even after dry spells. The stadium has hosted significant matches, including a final for the European Under-16 Championship when it was young, and more recently, games for the Under-17 Championship in 2024. It has also served other Cypriot clubs in times of need, lending its name and space to neighbours and rivals alike.
It is a ground that has seen its share of seasons, from the initial excitement of its opening to the quiet routine of league matches.
