Arena Antonio Alexe

Arena Antonio Alexe stands as the oldest multifunctional sports hall in Oradea, Romania, having opened on November 17, 1979. It serves as the home venue for the men's professional basketball and handball teams of CSM Oradea. The building derives its name from Antonio Alexe, a former captain of the Romanian national basketball team who played for the local club and died in a car accident in 2005. Before the renaming, the venue was known simply as "Sala Sporturilor".

The interior is defined by a natural wooden parquet floor, which accommodates basketball, handball, and volleyball. While the standard seated capacity is 1,998, the space can be expanded to a maximum of 2,500 for major matches by adding temporary seating or standing areas. The arena has hosted significant international fixtures, including Group B matches of the 2015 FIBA Women's EuroBasket and the 2014 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship for Women Division B, where Hungary defeated Estonia in the final. It is also scheduled to host preliminary round matches of the 2026 European Women's Handball Championship.

Renovations have occurred in 2005, 2009–2010, and 2011–2012, though specific details of the structural changes are not fully documented. Beyond sport, the hall hosts various concerts and cultural events, including performances by Zdob și Zdub and B.U.G. Mafia. The address is listed as Strada Traian Blajovici, nr. 24, though some sources cite Strada Cazaban, nr. 3. It is not the home ground for FC Bihor Oradea, which plays at the outdoor Iuliu Bodola Stadium.
