Bingöl Şehir Stadyumu

The ground in the Karşıyaka neighbourhood of Bingöl has been removed from the map. The old structure came down in 2025 following a decision made after the February 2023 earthquakes in the region identified the site as a seismic risk. The tender for the demolition was held in March of that year.

The former club, 12 Bingölspor, moved away from the old address at 75. Yıl Cumhuriyet Caddesi No:9. The team reached the 3. Lig (Group 2), the fourth tier of Turkish football, for the 2025-2026 season after winning the championship in the Bölgesel Amatör Lig (BAL) Group 1 in the previous campaign. They had spent the 2023-2024 season in BAL Group 11, finishing as runners-up.

The site is now subject to plans approved by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in December 2024. These plans involve building a new 12,500-capacity stadium on the same ground, which will also feature indoor sports halls.

The old venue had never been particularly imposing. It held 3,000 spectators, a figure confirmed by Europlan-Online and Transfermarkt, though some sources cited 3,500. The playing surface was natural grass. Its tenure in the lower divisions was marked by criticism for its poor condition, including failing TFF grass field inspections for TFF 2. Lig matches. The structure was owned by the Bingöl Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, having previously been associated with the Bingöl Municipality.

The exact year the old stadium opened is not recorded in available sources. It was built in the early 1980s. No specific attendance record for the venue was found.
