Builders Field

The stadium sits behind a fence where a propeller statue stands, mounted on a concrete base. These are not decorative flourishes; they are the equipment of the yard that borders the pitch. The Apprentice School Builders play here, and the ground reflects the operation that runs the school.

The turf has a uniform green appearance, though the exact surface type is not recorded. It is not a vast arena. The stands do not loom over the players; they sit level with the touchline.

The builders of the Apprentice School have a record of success in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), particularly in baseball and basketball, though those championship fixtures were often played elsewhere. This ground is strictly for football. The stadium opened in the mid-1980s, a time when the local shipyard was deep in its cycle of construction.

There is no official website for the venue itself, only the main portal for The Apprentice School. The address is 700 41st St.

The stadium is not a monument. It is a patch of grass set aside for the apprentices who live and train nearby. The anchor behind the end zone is a reminder of the work that pays for the education.
