Sant Joan Despí is not a place where fans gather for ninety minutes; the complex exists as a working machine.

The difference between this and any other training centre is the scale of the ambition. The complex opened in 2006, built on land bought a decade earlier, but the real shift happened when the first team moved in, ending a thirty-year detour away from the club’s own soil.

The Johan Cruyff Stadium sits within the grounds, a smaller arena for the B team and the women’s side. It is not built for spectacle; it is built for work. The surface is a hybrid, designed to take the punishment of daily use without breaking down.

La Masia is the other name that comes up. It houses the next generation, and the training here is where the club’s identity is supposed to take shape.
