Dom Sportova is managed by the city-owned company Upravljanje sportskim objektima. The capacity for handball or volleyball is 5,000, but for boxing it swells to over 10,000 because the floor is used for seating. The surface shifts from ice to hardwood depending on the season, which means the same ground can host a derby with no love lost or a figure skating championship without changing the walls around it.
It has hosted the European Men's Handball Championship final and the European Figure Skating Championships. The crowd was left flat-footed in 2000 when Sweden defeated Russia in extra time. The roof, however, has been a concern since the 2020 earthquake. It was damaged badly enough that the entire concrete structure is being replaced with steel, a project that will take eighteen months to finish.
