The Dvorana europskih prvaka stands on the edge of the school grounds. It is not a cathedral of sport, but a working hall for the city of Bjelovar.
What makes this place different is the mural to the right of the entrance. The date 1972 is painted there, a year when the local handball club, then called ORK Partizan, beat the German side VfL Gummersbach to lift the European Champions Cup. That history hangs on the wall, reminding visitors that this was once the home of ORK Partizan before the club changed its name. Inside, the floor is synthetic, typical for the indoor circuits.
The building opened in 1973, the same year the school complex was completed, and it served as a school sports hall until the renaming. Now it hosts the men's and women's handball teams of the city, while the basketball side tends to play elsewhere. The renovation announced for 2025 will bring in new lighting and telescopic seating, but for now, the structure remains largely as it has been for half a century.
