Eriksdalshallen

The original structure, dating back to 1938 , was preserved through a renovation that closed off its open front and added new entrance halls, keeping the exterior identity intact while changing the flow of people inside.

What makes the place distinct is the layering of its functions. One side hosts a hardwood floor for handball and gymnastics, while another section holds an artificial pitch for futsal. The capacity sits at 1,800 for standard events, though the addition of temporary stands on one short side allows the space to expand, depending on whether the tally reaches 2,600 or 2,200 .

Hammarby IF handball, Djurgårdens IF floorball, and Hellas HK have all played within these walls. The venue also holds a different kind of memory. In 1980 , the band Iron Maiden performed here while the nearby Isstadion was under renovation. Another gathering, a rock concert in 1958 featuring Little Gerhard , drew thousands, though the exact number remains a matter of local memory rather than official record.
