The Estadio Hermanos Antuña sits in Mieres, a town in Asturias shaped by its industrial past. The ground was inaugurated on September 16, 1951, replacing the older Campo de El Batán that had stood since 1919. The change honoured Joaquín and Ramón Antuña, brothers who served the local club, Racing de Mieres, which later became Caudal Deportivo. Before that, the crowd used to spill out onto the athletics track, as happened during the match against Real Oviedo on February 5, 1956, when the attendance record was set. Caudal Deportivo reached the Copa RFEF Asturias finals in 1995 and 1998, and the stadium hosted a concert by the band Barricada on June 15, 1996.
