Estadio Iberoamericano

The Estadio Iberoamericano sits in the Bahía Sur district.

The ground has a dual purpose that defines its character. A Mondo running track circles the natural grass pitch, placing the athletes in the same space as the football players. This arrangement means the atmosphere is different from a dedicated football arena; there is a sense of shared utility. The stadium hosted the XIV Ibero-American Athletics Championships in 2010, a renovation that led to its name change from Estadio Bahía Sur to Estadio Iberoamericano 2010. Before that shift, it was also known as the Estadio Municipal Bahía Sur. The name reflects the history of the venue, which replaced the Campo de Deportes Marqués de Varela as the home of the local club.

From the vantage point of the stands, the view extends beyond the pitch. The stadium is managed by the San Fernando City Council and has served as a venue for the Spanish U-21 National Team in the past. It has also hosted concerts, with acts like Sting and Julio Iglesias performing there, showing that the space is used for more than just sport.

The relationship between the ground and the community is practical. The capacity is officially listed as 6,471 spectators. The stadium is adjacent to the Bahía Sur Shopping Center. The surface is natural grass, maintained for both football and athletics, a requirement that keeps the pitch in a state of constant use.
