Grobiņas stadions

The ground at Celtnieku iela 29 is defined by its recent evolution rather than a distant history. The most striking change is the synthetic pitch, which replaced the natural grass surface and was officially opened in the spring of 2017. Grobiņas SC have played their home matches here since the club’s formation.

Beyond the pitch, the facility has expanded its scope significantly. In the summer of 2020, a velodrome was opened on the stadium grounds, adding a cycling dimension to the sporting complex. The capacity remains modest, holding approximately 1,000 spectators, which reinforces the intimate, local nature of the events held here.

The stadium also serves as a venue for larger gatherings. It hosted a concert by the Latvian rock band Bermudu Divstūris in August 2022. Additionally, the grounds have seen a hot air balloon show and a moto festival, including the Latvian Championship in moto trial. While the stadium does not host major national finals, it provides a reliable base for local competitions and youth tournaments.
