Haberfeld Stadium

The stands at Haberfeld Stadium are painted in various colours. Across the far end, the white plastic is visible. The structure is low and open, with a red and yellow press box jutting up from one corner, its glass windows catching the light.

There is nothing particularly grand about the architecture, but the setting is distinct. Behind the main stand, a hill rises towards the city skyline, where white apartment blocks sit against the horizon. The pitch sits in a bowl, and the advertising hoardings around the touchlines are crowded with local advertisements, including prominent signs for Mania Jeans. The players on the field are dressed in white shirts and orange shorts, running through drills under the bright sun.

The ground has hosted significant tournaments, including group matches and the final of the 2022 UEFA European Under-17 Championship. It has also seen the conclusion of the 2006–07 Toto Cup Artzit. Originally known as the Municipal Stadium, it was renamed in 2003 to honour the late chairman of the Israel Football Association. The capacity is listed at 6,000, and the surface remains natural grass. The stadium is home to Hapoel Rishon LeZion, a club that plays in the lower tiers of the Israeli league. The stands are empty in the images, save for a few figures near the dugouts and the press area, suggesting a quiet afternoon of training rather than a matchday fixture.
