The hall is part of a larger complex that includes an outdoor stadium, but this interior has its own identity.
The complex was established in the 1920s and underwent a major modernization in 2011/2013, which updated the facilities and added a new main stand for the outdoor stadium. The hall is used for handball, volleyball, futsal, and badminton, though the basketball markings on the floor are prominent. The football club KS Karkonosze Jelenia Góra uses the outdoor stadium at this address, while the basketball club KS Sudety Jelenia Góra uses a separate hall (Hala Sportowa Sudecka) at ul. Sudecka 42. The venue hosted the 33rd Youth Championships of Poland in Athletics (U23) on July 30–31, 2016.
