Minersville Park was a ground where the game was played on a surface that local anthracite operations affected. It sat in the borough of Minersville, Pennsylvania, and was not built for the professional game. The borough owned it as a high school stadium, and the land it occupied was cut into the side of a mountain. The soil was mixed with coal slag and acid mine drainage from local anthracite operations. Players who cut themselves found the wounds turned dangerous quickly. The capacity was listed at around 5,000, though crowds often pushed that number double on match days.

The Pottsville Maroons used the pitch from 1920 until 1928. It was here they hosted their disputed title clash in 1925. The Maroons beat the Chicago Cardinals 21–7 in a fixture billed as the championship. The NFL stripped them of the honour later, after they played an exhibition against the Notre Dame All-Stars at Shibe Park in Philadelphia. The league moved the title to Chicago and suspended the Maroons. The team eventually folded in 1929 after a move to Boston.

The stadium was not a grand structure by league standards. It was a local field that hosted the NFL. The ground was eventually demolished and replaced by the Kings Village Plaza shopping centre.
