MTV Stadeln Sportgelände

The MTV Stadeln Sportgelände at Herboldshofer Straße 51 is not a cathedral of sport. The facility has existed since at least 1970, marked by a sgraffito on a nearby building rather than a grand ceremony.

The ground is shared. It hosts the local football club, formed by a merger, and the Franken Timberwolves American Football team. The capacity sits around 1,000 spectators. The land belongs to the City of Fürth.

There is a history here, though it is buried under recent changes. The main sports hall, once known as the MTV-Grundig-Sporthalle after the electronics giant that sponsored the club, was demolished in 2016. In its place, new buildings are rising. A beach volleyball court appeared in 2022, and work began in late 2025 on a multifunctional building for changing rooms and facilities.
