Navigation Homes Stadium
Pukekohe, New Zealand
Formerly: Growers Stadium, Bayer Growers Stadium, ECOLight Stadium
The pitch is natural grass, and it serves double duty as a grass athletics track.
It opened in 1971, though the builders remain nameless. Its character was set early, when the British and Irish Lions came through. That first international match drew a crowd of twenty thousand. The stadium hosts the Counties Manukau Steelers, who play in the National Provincial Championship, and it has seen the return of Super Rugby with Moana Pasifika facing the Chiefs.
The name on the gate changes with the money. It began as Growers Stadium, then became Bayer Growers Stadium, and later ECOLight Stadium. Since 2018, it has carried the name Navigation Homes Stadium.
The capacity is listed at twelve thousand, a figure that has not changed since the days of the Lions. The address is given as 21 Stadium Drive, though some sources point to Franklin Road.
