Palacio de los Deportes de León

Palacio Municipal de los Deportes Urbano González Escapa stands in the Eras de Renueva district of León, a couple of hundred metres south of the Estadio Reino de León. The arena is a box of brick and glass that sits near the Complejo Deportivo Sáenz de Miera.

The venue opened in 1970 after a design completed in 1966, with a fixed capacity for 5,188 spectators. It was expanded in 1990, and between 2023 and May 2024 a project titled "Palacio Deportes León Next Generation" focused on energy efficiency and accessibility. On May 14, 2025, the club renamed the building to honour Urbano González Escapa, a former local basketball player and ALS research advocate, a decision announced by Mayor José Antonio Díez on February 25, 2025. Before that, it had carried no specific proper name since it opened.

CB Ademar León call it home for handball in the Liga ASOBAL, and Cultural Leonesa de Baloncesto use it for basketball in the lower divisions. The arena formerly hosted Club Baloncesto León, which played in the top-flight ACB league until its dissolution in 2012. The Copa del Rey de Baloncesto was played here in 1970 and 1997, while the Copa del Rey de Balonmano came to León in 1972, 1996 and 2017.
