The Palau d'Esports de Granollers carries the weight of a specific moment in Catalan sport. Built to host handball for the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, it has never quite shaken its primary purpose. The surface tells the story of modernisation. The synthetic parquet floor was installed in 2020 and 2021 by Mondo to meet international standards. This update was not cosmetic; it was a requirement for hosting elite competition. The arena holds 5,685 spectators, a capacity that shifts depending on whether the retractable seating is deployed. The highest recorded attendance for a single sporting event stands at 5,100, set during a Liga Plenitude match between Fraikin BM Granollers and FC Barcelona in the 2024–25 season.

Beyond the weekly league fixtures, the venue has proven its worth on the global stage. It hosted the 2021 IHF Women's Handball World Championship final, where Norway defeated France, and has seen multiple Copa del Rey de Balonmano finals. The arena does not host basketball anymore; the city's basketball team moved to the smaller Pavelló Municipal d'Esports, built in 1960, leaving the Palau to focus on its handball roots. There are no sponsorship names attached to the building, only the original title.
