Playford Road

The ground sits on a narrow strip of land where the town meets the river. It has been here since 1884. The modern touch is the hybrid grass, which was laid down in 2023 with undersoil heating.

The stadium has hosted a few things that do not happen often. England played a friendly against Croatia here in 2003, and the pitch was watched by a crowd that was nearly 36,000 strong.

The capacity is listed at 30,056, a number that grew after the major rebuild between 2000 and 2002. The Pioneer Stand was added in 1983, and the conversion to an all-seater stadium followed the Taylor Report in 1992. Nothing has been renamed as a whole, though the individual sections have changed their titles over the years to match the sponsors of the time.
