The Polideportivo Ciudad de Elda 'Florentino Ibáñez' is not a football stadium. It is an indoor pavilion located on Avenida de Ronda in the town of Elda. The name on the building honors Florentino Ibáñez, a local sports figure. That name comes from the main hall, where a floating parquet floor takes up the space.
The facility is divided into two sections. The primary hall accommodates roughly 1,300 spectators, though there is conflicting information regarding its original capacity at the time it opened in September 2002. Some sources suggest it held 2,000 people back then, a number that may have dropped due to safety regulations or the creation of a second, smaller hall. That secondary space, known as the 'Azul' hall, has a synthetic floor and seats only 200.
Today, the ground belongs to Balonmano Elda Prestigio, a women's handball club founded in 1985. They compete in the Liga ASOBAL Femenina and use this venue for their home fixtures. The sports centre has hosted other events as well, such as the 1st Spanish Historical Fencing Championship in November 2016 and the closing ceremony for regional games in 2017. It remains distinct from the outdoor football stadium Estadio Nuevo Pepico Amat, serving a different purpose for the city.
