The floodlights are powerful enough to banish the evening mist, casting a bright glare over the field that makes the white lines stand out against the green. Advertising boards line the edge of the track, displaying the names of local sponsors, but the focus remains on the game.

The city of Thanh Hóa is not a metropolis, so the stadium holds a central place in the community's sporting life. When the national team plays here, the stands swell beyond their usual capacity, with fans spilling onto the terraces to catch a glimpse of the players. The local club, Đông Á Thanh Hóa, uses the ground as their base, and the supporters know every inch of the turf. There is a sense of permanence here; the concrete looks weathered, but the spirit of the place is undimmed. The new seating project is underway, aiming to replace the old benches with individual chairs, but for now the old stands remain. The track around the perimeter is a reminder of a different era, but it also serves a purpose, separating the crowd from the players and keeping the noise contained within the arena. The stadium does not boast modern amenities, but it has a character that newer venues lack. It is a place where the game is played without distraction, under the watchful eyes of the local community.
