The stadium in Jizzakh spent most of its life as the Central Stadium, a name that stuck around informally even after the venue took on the identity of the local club, Sogdiana.
Between 2013 and 2015 the ground disappeared into a lengthy reconstruction and came back as something larger: no longer a stand-alone stadium but the centrepiece of the newly built Sogdiana Sport Complex, folded in among training pitches and auxiliary facilities. For a full season the club had nowhere to play at home and shifted its fixtures to the stadium in Zaamin.
