Stade Wobi

Stade Wobi sits on Avenue du Gouverneur Binger, tucked behind the Ciné Sanyon cinema and the CSPS de Hamdalaye hospital. It is not the largest ground in Bobo-Dioulasso, but it is the oldest. The pitch is natural grass, and the stands hold 10,000 fans. That figure has not changed since the renovation project funded by IAMGOLD Essakane SA wrapped up in 2022.

It is currently the home of Union Sportive du Foyer de la Régie Abidjan-Niger. Lighting work awarded to 3E NATOBE SARL in 2017 is still unfinished, a fact that has the Burkinabè Football Federation concerned. The stadium remains active despite the missing floodlights. It hosts the Jeux nationaux de la relève sportive and occasional concerts when the schedule allows.

The ground opened in 1952. It was the first major stadium built in the city. Bachirou Niang, who ran the district until 1953, is credited with its construction. For decades it was the main venue until the Stade Omnisports de Bobo-Dioulasso appeared for the 1998 Africa Cup of Nations. It is managed by the Commune de Bobo-Dioulasso, though there is no official website.

Recent changes include a multi-sport platform finished in January 2023. The project cost 130 million FCFA and added courts for basketball, volleyball and handball. The GIANTS OF AFRICA foundation helped make it happen. The original stadium keeps its name after the Wobi area. No former names exist. There is no attendance record to speak of, though a 2025 Super Coupe AJSB match claimed a record for the day.
