Stanko Mlakar Stadium

Kranj, Slovenia

Formerly: Mestni Stadion Kranj

The ground opened in 1963 and carries the name of Stanko Mlakar, a Slovenian footballer and coach honoured in the naming rather than in a later rededication. Two rounds of work followed the original build, in 1998 and then a more substantial rebuild in 2009, which brought the stadium to its current capacity of 2,060. That is a modest number set against the top flight, and it reads as a club ground shaped by its town rather than by ambition beyond it — a natural grass pitch, a fixed capacity, nothing added since 2009 that the record shows.
